Madrone Burls can develop vibrant colors when the tree is near its end. These larger burl points are swirled with red and purple. Small voids decorate various portions of this good sized bowl. A rare find at the bottom of a storm downed tree turned into an inviting dish. My finishes bring ones touch closer to the wood. This oil/wax finish will dull overtime when in contact with moisture. But being used is a good thing.
