One day, I began a bowl with this Birch but early on uncovered this candle flame image as the piece turned. Finding a form that could allow it to be featured came next. As one turns one cuts off more and more. And in that I turned it on the day RBG died, I knew, the flame had to be kept and the bowl named for Notorious.
